Truly special.

The property was very intimate and homey. The staff (James) and Christian (in the restaurant) wanted to make us happy in every way. The property was beautiful!

We lived the beauty of the location being up on the hill overlooking the city. It was challenging walking up and down the hill, so we did need transportation getting back up the hill, but it was very economical.

Amazing hotel totally worth staying at in Quito!

Loved everything about his property. Except maybe the walk up the hill to it, but that’s not at the fault of the hotel haha. It was perfectly located in the center of Quito, the staff were very nice and welcoming, my room was perfect and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I also loved the decor and style of the hotel, I had to walk around inside to admire it. A big thank you to Judith and David for their warm hospitality during my stay at this hotel, their exceptional and kind guest services made my stay even more amazing.

Nothing really I can say that I didn’t like about the property. It was all around great and I highly recommend it!

Vista del Angel hotel is very comfortable and lives up to its name with great views.

Great location with views of the Angel statue and old town, very nice breakfast (included in price) with fresh fruit and muesli as well as cooked breakfast and great coffee

The hotel has an open terrace with great views and a restaurant on the top floor which seemed a bit under-utilised in the evenings; the rooms did not provide coffee, only tea

Wonderful Views from Historic Hotel

Beautiful, historical hotel with a great view of historic Quito. Great staff who were always available, friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant on the top floor with amazing dinners and commanding views. Be sure to eat dinner there during your stay. Breakfast was served in the same restaurant and was also delicious.

Given that this is a historic property, it’s not surprising that our room was a little small. But I believe the pictures are accurate. Also consider that the price of wonderful views is a steep, but not too long walk up from the historic center.

Beautiful inside and views out with lovely staff and food.

We stayed in room 14 top corner with beautiful views. The breakfasts were great. Staff was always welcoming and helpful and accommodated our unexpected 3:30 am arrival with grace. The location is up a large hill which we walked once and then used $2 Uber rides to get back to the hotel. We ended up liking the restaurant so much we had dinner there 3 nights. Lovely art collection throughout.

It was the older section of the hotel so windows weren’t soundproof and we did hear some noise at night although hotel is on a quiet residential street.

Overall, great place to stay

Really friendly and helpful staff (David & Judith), cosy comfortable room with a fantastic shower, good food at reasonable prices in restaurant and a great massage to boot!

Missed the steps on entering restaurant and landed quite painfully on my arse..not a criticism as I should’ve been looking where I was going but they need to be aware that tired travellers aren’t always fully aware of surroundings and to point out the steps to be safe.

A beautiful and centric place to stay. Within very few minutes you are in the historic center. I had a very nice and big room, too. But it's the staff that makes the difference. Very forthcoming and if it wasn't for Kevin I might have never retrieved a backpack that was left in an Uber. He was top support! Also special thanks to Marco, Daniel and James. They all really made my stay very special. Gracias totales!

Amazing and unique property with delicious breakfast

This hotel is simply gorgeous and unique in every best way possible. The architecture is stunning…from the beautiful stairways, to the hallways with gorgeous art throughout the “old house” to the courtyard with the fountains. It’s hard to put into words how amazing this place is. The breakfast was delicious…presented beautifully and yummy. We also had an incredibly good dinner there. The staff is over the top helpful, professional and friendly. The hot tub is an added bonus in a peaceful spot in the backyard courtyard. Truly enjoyed it. And the views….STUNNING, especially at night when you can see the many churches lit up bright. I can’t say enough good things about this property. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. You will not be disappointed!

Our room was a bit on the small side. But our view made up for it. Our friends stayed there as well and their room was much bigger.

We had to tell the breakfast staff to “just give us half of the amount of food that they serve

It is a hilly neighborhood, but cabs are very cheap
